  • Sturdy for high mechanical loads
    Maximum process reliability is guaranteed by the components coming into contact with the medium being of stainless steel, the welded system not presenting any dead spots, the device being designed with the IP 67 protection class, and providing high vibration resistance (shakeproof). The capacitive ceramic measuring cell of aluminum oxide (99.9%) offers a long operating live and is overload resistant.
  • Compact and economic
    The small dimensions (Ø 27 mm x 65 mm) allow for flexibility with regard to installation positions. Wiring and installation are simple and optimize material consumption. Uniform parameterization and diagnosis of the entire CAN bus system, except the sensor level, entails savings during start-up and maintenance.
  • Process safe and reliable
    Redundant sensors and a permanent self-diagnosis offer maximized safety and reliability. The data is transmitted safe and interference-free from the sensor to the control system. Additional functions with linearization and scaling, measuring range monitoring, precise adjustment, fly back function relieve the PLC .

Technical features
 

  • The sensor monitoring continuously checks the correct function of the sensor signal and triggers high-priority emergency telegrams in the event of an error.
  • The measured pressure value can be scaled to any desired dimensional unit (or to % of the measurement range).
  • The precision adjustment includes an auto-zero function as well as a freely settable characteristic line offset.
  • Unwanted signal fluctuations can be suppressed by the settable filter constant.
  • The measured value is shown with a freely selectable decimal point.
  • The measuring range monitoring has freely selectable upper and lower limits. The result is put out as a status byte next to the measured value with the PDO telegram.
  • The fly back function saves the minimum and the maximum measured pressure value.
  • Date and name of the last maintenance can be saved.
  • The emergency telegram is triggered in the event of a probe defect.
  • The PDO telegram contains the 32 bit measured value as well as the bit status. The measured value output can be controlled through various trigger conditions.
  • SDO telegrams allow the setting of parameters. Measured values and the status can also be inquired.
  • The transmitter function can also be monitored with the heartbeat signal or with node guarding.
  • The sync command allows to additionally control the transmission of measured values.
  • The NMT telegrams are used to control the transmitter operating status.
  • Setting of the CAN module ID and CAN Baud rate is optionally through LSS or SDO.

Description

Pressure transmitters are used to record relative and absolute pressures in liquid and gaseous media. The pressure transmitter operates as per the thick-film-DMS measuring principle. The basic material of the sensor element is aluminum oxide ceramic (Al2O3). The measured pressure value is digitalized and made available through the "CANopen" serial bus protocol for further processing (CAN slave). A number of additional useful functions are realized through the dS 404 device profile. All settings are possible via commercially available CANopen software tools.
