Description
Connection heads
DIN EN 50446 defines the connection head designs A and B, which differ in size and also slightly in their shape. Nominal dimension of the hole diameter accommodating the sheath for the connection heads:
22 mm or 32 mm for form A, 15 mm or M 24x1.5 thread for form B.
Aluminum or plastic is used, depending on the application. The form B connection head as per DIN is more widespread. To respond to required applications, further design forms J, JK, BBK and BUZ evolved from the DIN designs. These designs (except JK) are suitable for installation in a 2-wire transmitter. The JK design is equipped with terminals (in this case no additional connection socket is required).
