Compensation/thermo cables (90.9735)
Features
- As per DIN IEC 584 and DIN 43714
- Designs between -50 ... +350 °C
- Silicon, PVC or glass fibre jacketing
- For single or double elements
Applications
- As signal line for the electric connection to thermocouples
Description
For temperature measurement by means of thermocouples, the temperature of the cold junction must be measured in addition to the thermal voltage. The cold junction temperature is detected on the connection terminals of the evaluation electronics. Due to the fact that this temperature need not be identical to the temperature in the connection head, extend the thermocouple using a compensation line (the type B thermocouple does not require a compensation line).
Up to 200 °C, the thermo-electric properties of the compensation lines are identical to those of the thermocouples.
