Description
Mineral insulated thermocouples are made of a flexible, thin-walled mineral-insulated cable, in which the thermo-wires are embedded in pressed fire-resistant magnesium oxide.
The good heat transition between the mineral insulation and the thermocouple allows for short response times (t0.5 from 0.15s) and high measuring accuracy. The vibration resistant (shakeproof) design guarantees a long operating life. The smallest bending radius is 5 times the outer diameter. Minimum installation length: 100 mm for Ø 3.0 to 6.0 mm≥.
As standard, the thermocouples' insulation is designed to act against the mineral insulation. Being measuring inserts, the thermocouples (elements) are used as per DIN EN 60 584 or DIN 43 710. Twin versions with two thermocouples are also possible.
Test pressure: Check for leaks at the measuring point at 40 bar (helium)
Insulating resistance:Thermocouple against mineral-insulation at room temperature and lengths < 1m 200MOhm, with lengths ≥ 1m 200MOhm x m.
